As I thought about these types of questions and dwelled on the answers, I realized that the Lord would probably not be concerned with the number of emails that I responded to, how much call volume I put up for the day, or even that a meeting with the boss went well. He would want to know how much time did I invest in others to glorify Him? What did I do to invest in His kingdom?
If you knew that you were going to talk to the Lord tonight, would your conversation on breaks change? Would you be more prayerful throughout the day? Would you stop and talk to people about Jesus? This is the mindset that each of us (I am preaching to myself) should have continually. Busy is relative; we are all very busy, but take the time and remember the purpose of life.
Please continue to pray for School of Fish Ministries. God has opened some doors and we want to make sure that we are walking through the right ones. We are on an amazing journey and we are looking forward to see what God has in-store for us.

Wow Joey....great reflection! I agree....busy is relative....we need to take time each day to invest in our own relationship with Jesus and with others. School of Fish is always in my prayers. I mention you all often when I preach and talk with others about what is possible when we simply look to God for the answers, listen and follow.
Keep doing what you are doing and live out this reflection. You are a reflection....a reflection of your Creator. God bless you guys!
Today is my girlfriend's BDAY! Check her music out at www.kymberlybryson.info. And when you do, "no" although she may look Asian, she's not. It's just the pic angle....LOL...Although she can whip up a mean stir-fry...Was that not cool to write?
Anyway, the other thing is that through a very, very slow process, I am learning that God has blessed me with friends, a brain and the gift of being able to sing and not cause people's ears to bleed, glass to break, etc.
So through an incredible process, much attributed to Kymberly's personal commitment to Christ and her insistent willingness to share that with me and save my life, I am focusing my music and those talents to Christ.
This business of music is a trying adventure. Performing at places that test your personal beliefs, exposing oneself to things that basically tear at one's soul and encourages doing things that for a temporary moment may feel good, but in the overall scheme of things, they are damaging.
To many of you who personally know me, this may be a shock as much as finding that your 401K or IRA has increased in value.
But as I mature and know my place to be there unconditionally and 100% for my daughter, I am realizing that LIFE is not about all the toys I can accumulate, it is not about how big my house or condo is or that my car is cool. It's about appreciating the incredible gift of true friends, family and having Christ in your life.
Whether you believe in Christ or not or for that matter you believe and have a CREATOR in your life, speak to Him, pray to Him. The past 2 weeks have been a trying time. Understanding what is going on, what is the point, etc.
So in closing, and thank you for reading my blog/rant, I have decided that my future is in God's hands-whatever that may mean. We aren't in control of our life. It may appear that we are, but reality is that we are on a path; many paths. Our creator gave us a mind, free-will to do what we want. I am choosing to use the gifts God gave me to help others, to take away their anguish, pain, suffering, moments of despair. Doing it through music, my words, or sharing with them the bright light of Christ.
I know many of you who (again) know me, are like (What the Heck?) but my life, my path, my road has been fraught with thorny fences, deep trenches, dark rooms, etc...I finally used that brain to realize that I cannot do it alone!
So, read my words. Do what you want with my blog's content. But look deep inside yourself and privately ask, "What is happening with my life?" Am I being selfish or am I in a position to help someone?"
I am not one to proselytize, but with total respect of Who you worship or go to in times of despair, take the moment each day and reach out. Trust me, it helps!
Cheers & Amen:
